I was so blessed yesterday to have gotten so many things
needed for the ministry house. Not only
did I finally get internet hooked up (awesome!), but I got a free printer, and
some pots for plants that were donated to us, and a small counter/table, trash
can and other misc. items. I get anxious
to get everything I need – I would love some tables and chairs, some display
racks, a counter, display tables, etc. and etc., but I wait in God’s timing for
it all! He seems to like to wait until
the last minute to try my patience!
It is so awesome to be used in God’s Kingdom! I have suffered greatly in many areas over
the years, and to have God turn it all around for good and use what I’ve
learned and experience to help others is a great gift. On Wed. night, I got to see Sylvia
again. I’ve been praying for her for
several weeks now, since I first met her.
Her and I really connected that first night, when she was suffering
through many different issues. I shared
with her and we prayed together. Again,
we prayed together for her healing a couple weeks ago, and she is off her
oxygen – healed! Praise God. She is doing great in many areas now. I just love to be used by God to help
others. It is such an encouragement. I do know that I am called to help others – I
notice that I tend to gravitate toward those who are going through hard times,
wanting to comfort them. That is what
the body of Christ is supposed to do – support and comfort one another. I love James 1 where in v. 3 he talks about
testing of our faith produces patience and that in v. 5 if we lack Wisdom to
get through, as God and he gives it to us in abundance!
I find it very
interesting that this morning, I was also reading in Mel Bond’s book: Releasing
God’s Anointing where he discusses James 1:8 in his introduction: “Unobvious
demons are quite often, if not always, present to prevent Christians from being
single-minded. These demons attempt to make you think you may not be praying correctly,
or doubt whether the person you are praying for will be healed, or wonder what
others will think about how you are ministering. These not-so-obvious demonic suggestions
hinder God’s anointing. A double-minded person will not receive anything from
the Lord. Jesus taught me that yielding to God is important in receiving,
and it is as simple as physically relaxing. The word “yield” in the Greek means
to relax or surrender. Romans 6:19
teaches that as we have yielded our members to sin (satan), we can yield our
members to God’s holiness. Holiness is
God’s reputation. We can simply relax and surrender to God’s reputation being
manifested in our mortal bodies. God has a reputation of the miraculous, and it
is easier to yield to God’s glory than it is to yield to sin, because God is
greater than satan.”
I also like how Paul points out in 2 Cor. 1:3-7 that we are
comforted by our Savior Jesus if we allow Him to do so, because He suffered
greatly for us. We give Him honor when
we give comfort to others so that they may not have to suffer on their
own. That is the hardest place to be,
alone with no one to care or no one to turn to.
I hope that I am always in tune to what others need and not be selfish
because I may be going through something.
When we become a blessing to others, we get blessed! I love how God has gifted each of us differently
– Rom. 12:4-13, 1 Cor. 12:27-31, Eph. 4:7-12, and 1 Peter 4:9-11 so that we can
bring Glory to God and to help encourage and train up disciples of Christ.
The wisteria continues to grow! I painted as far as my ladder would allow today. I even had someone stop by and ask me if I would paint like that for them ... I think they have a job for me ....
