We went
to the gym this morning to work out, then spent 3 ½ hours getting food stamps!! Yea for the food stamps, but what a horrible
wait!! I have been soooooo wanting
fresh salad makings and fresh fruit!! I
am thankful for the chance to stay with David and his family, having them serve
us wonderful meals, but there are a lot of starches and I think I’ve gained
back the weight I lost the last few months!
This afternoon, we went to Old Colorado Springs to just get away and
wander about – found several art galleries – I met Kang Lee in one of the art
galleries. We hit it off
immediately! She’s a Christian artist
and wants to put some of her artwork in my gallery. She also hired me to teach a class for her
Sheppard Art Institute! I gave her my
flyer about my artwork and I told her I would e-mail more info (my bio and
class info). It looks like I’ll start
teaching a 3-4 week course on music and art history. We saw
the most wonderful miniature museum – the Michael Garman Museum: http://www.michaelgarman.com/ This artist in town for 30+ years, has been
working on these life-like figurines and entire towns, all brought to life with
holographs and sound recordings. So
awesome.
