This afternoon, a miracle happened! Lowes gave us $103 worth of paint! We went in with our list of needs on
letterhead for our ministry and they acknowledged it. We can now finish painting the interior and
exterior of our storefront and even paint the murals! Nichole and Ryan have designed the most
wonderful mural for the back wall.
Nichole and Sarah spent this afternoon painting our sign to go on the
front of the building – a most beautiful job!
Again, we had an awesome bible study this morning. We read from John 5 about how the established
‘church of the time’ missed the point.
They were more worried about the law than they were concerned about
compassion. No one cared that a person
was healed – they were more concerned about holding onto their traditions and
doctrines that came from men. They had
faith in their own things more than the work of the Kingdom that was introduced
to them by the very King of that Kingdom.
They found it more important to hold on to the things of men rather than
the things of God. “Judge not least you
be judged.” “I did not come to Judge the
world.” “We’ve been given to judge all
things.” “As according you judge, it
will be measured back to you.” “The Father
does not judge but all things have been given to Jesus to judge.”
Jesus was persecuted for doing God’s will. Jesus was sent to do His Father’s work, but
he was judged for breaking the Sabbath and making Himself equal to God;
however, what He really did was made himself a servant and was accused
wrongly. He came to reveal and to give
the Father’s glory – He does the same for us today. The Holy Spirit testified of Jesus as
well. Jesus heard the Holy Spirit and
His timing was perfect – keeping in step with the Holy Spirit is vital. We need to operate in the power of the Holy
Spirit at all times.
John the Baptist came without signs and wonders, but rather,
with the message of repentance, but they beheaded him. Jesus wasn’t received for His greater
works.
