Storefront

July 9 - William and I committed to disciplining ourselves – going to work out at the gym 3 x a week, getting into praise/prayer/bible study every morning, writing every day (stories/testimonies about the last 10/6 years of ministry – this includes my spiritual journal writing).  We were driving around Colorado Springs and Fountain looking for houses/apts to rent, writing down numbers (this week making calls).  We get downtown Fountain, across from the court house and saw that the weekly farmer’s market was going on.  We walk around and decided to check out this ‘for rent’ sign we saw on a storefront across the street.  I write down the number and call about it.  It is $500 a month and around 560 sq ft.  We both get vision right away about the place, that God wants to use this place as our house for ministry (as well as my art studio).  That being the ‘center’ of town, where there are people coming out every week, we can minister to a lot of people.

July 11 - We’re driving around again, looking for houses/apts (we decided to stay in Fountain), driving around downtown, and we notice that there is someone inside that storefront.  So we go in and ask to talk with him and look around.  The place is perfect and he loves the idea of what we want to do.  I then go to the chamber of commerce to ask about maps of the area and what rules are there about opening an art gallery/studio.  She said that would be an awesome idea.   She also said that once I get going, they could put it in their tourist promotional materials.
